Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Jessica Desselle

I was born and raised in Potter Valley and knew I wanted to be a teacher from a very early age. I got my BA and teaching credential from Westmont College in Santa Barbara, CA. From there I taught in Costa Rica for a year teaching 5th grade at an international school. When I moved back to the states, I taught for 2 years at a private school in Redwood Valley before returning home to teach middle school and high school in Potter Valley for 6 years. In 2014 I made the move over to Lakeport Unified School District where I taught 3rd grade for 4 years before taking on a new role at the Lakeport Alternative School. I love working with the homsechool students and find it to be a unique opportunity to get to know the students on a more one on one basis. It is a great way to be involved in the individual needs of students and help them accomplish their goals.
